Earlier this week, the Core Group members of the Safeguarding Committee met for the first time and have begun to work on risk assessments for the ministries in which our children and young people are involved in. Tasked with reviewing and implementing processes and procedures to support the wellbeing and safety of our young ones, the group is currently performing an assessment of our vibrant and ever-growing Altar Servers ministry under the able guidance of Ms Tamara Cugnetto, Safeguarding Office of the Melbourne Archdiocese.
Coming out of these assessments will be recommendations and actions to promote and ensure the safe participation of our children in programs, activities and events organised by our ministries. The Parish has an email account set up to receive emails regarding Safeguarding.
