Thanks to all the parishioners who came to celebrate Fr Anil’s time with us and to bid him farewell as he moved on to his next parish. Thank you to all who volunteered by cooking, helping to set up and serving food etc, especially to the parents of the youth and young families, the flower ministry team whose support in the kitchen was phenomenal.
A special thank you to RnB Events for organising the projector and sound, Lynelle Vaidyanathan and Karin Rughoo for Fr Anil’s farewell cakes. Thank you to all those who volunteered to give a speech or performance, and those who graciously presented Fr Anil with his gifts and citation, and to all the choir members who came together to sing a blessing and farewell song for Fr Anil. Thank you also to Plan It Events for the wishing well, to Jude Rodrigo for photographing the event, to the parish youth who formed the band, to the Social Group for organising the tea and coffee, the Mangalorean community for giving Fr Anil a send off in his mother tongue, and the junior youth and altar servers for volunteering to give a speech. Thank you to Jason and the school for allowing us use of the hall.
Finally, a huge thank you to parishioners for your generosity, we were able to collect $3500 towards Fr Anil’s gift.
