It’s an exciting time at St Kevin’s as our Youth begin to depart for World Youth Day 2023 this week!
At this weekend’s Saturday 7 PM mass at our parish, our WYD pilgrims received a special blessing and a candle for our contingent to take along to the Commissioning Mass on Sunday at St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Accompanied by their families and well-wishers from our parish, our pilgrims were blessed and commissioned this morning by Archbishop Peter Comensoli at this service, along with over 500 other pilgrims who will all be journeying from Melbourne at different times and via different routes, on their way to Lisbon. Following the mass, they then walked down the road together as a pilgrimage group to the Catholic Leadership Centre for a final gathering before their journeys begin! Please keep all of them in your prayers!
